TRAVEL : Unless you are doing an adventurous overland trip within Borneo, the easiest way to reach Pangkalan Bun is by air. Flight schedules change often, depending on number of aeroplanes in service and other circumstances. Tickets can sometimes be booked before you arrive in Indonesia, with help from hotels you have booked with, or by using an in-country travel agent. Otherwise, flights can usually be booked a day or two in advance at the airport when you arrive (not always available though, so best not to count on this method).

BEST TIME TO VISIT :
There is no special weather condition requires to fully enjoy this magical Orangutan trip. We could do the visit at any time of the year, dry or wet season. You will find different beauty of nature at both weather.

DOMESTIC FLIGHTS :
The important thing is the flight schedule connection, as on remote destination like Kalimantan, there is only several airlines operated. We will help arrange your local flight during your Orangutan trip from Bali or Jakarta. That way, if there are any problems with your schedule or delayed when you are in a remote area, Adventure Indonesia will be able to contact the airline to make the necessary changes.
Many of past clients call this is a "magical trip". We will take you to meet one of the human's closest living relatives in animal kingdoms: Orangutan living free at their natural home at Camp Leakey, Tanjung Harapan and Pondok Tanggui stations inside the misty rain forest surrounded by proboscis monkeys, macaques, gibbons, birds including the giant hornbills and other exotic flora and fauna. You will explore the quit river on a traditional boat and having some short walk around the stations.
In the peaceful afternoon, we silently cruise the river to watch the Proboscis "Pinocchio" monkeys, birds and other animals playing in trees on the riverbanks while you enjoying your afternoon tea in the roof of the klotok boat.
